Billing

You pay $1 per completed review from a prepaid credit balance. No seats, no subscription. New organizations start with $10 in free credits, no credit card required.

Per review pricing

Each completed review draws $1 from your credit balance. Reviews that fail, time out, or are cancelled do not cost anything.

• One $1 charge for each review that finishes and posts findings (or "no findings") on a pull request.
• Re reviews triggered by new commits or force pushes are billed independently.
• Pending runs that are cancelled because newer commits arrive do not cost anything.
• CI bots (Dependabot, Renovate, github actions, snyk bot) never trigger reviews.
• AI coding tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor) count as normal authors and their pull requests are reviewed.
• Reviews on public repositories are free.

Credits

Credits are a prepaid balance. Top up any amount from $10 to $1,000 from Settings → Billing. Credits never expire.

• Suggested amounts: $10, $25, $50, $100. Custom amounts allowed up to $1,000.
• Your current balance is always visible in the dashboard.
• You can grant credits to teammates with admin access.

Auto recharge

Auto recharge is on by default so reviews keep running without interruption.

• Default trigger. When your balance drops below $10, we add $20.
• Configurable. Change the threshold and the top up amount in Settings → Billing.
• Optional. Turn auto recharge off if you prefer to top up manually.

Monthly limits

Set a monthly spending limit from Settings → Billing to cap how much your organization can spend in a calendar month. When you hit the limit, reviews pause until the next month or until you raise the limit.

Free credits and startup program

• Signup credits. Every new organization gets $10 in credits, with no credit card required.
• Open source. Reviews on public repositories are free.
• Referrals. Share your referral link. When someone you refer runs their first review, you both get $20 in credits.
• Startup program. We have committed $100,000 toward our startup program. Email hello@prelint.com to apply.

What pauses reviews

Reviews keep running while you have credits. They pause when:

• Your balance drops below $1 and auto recharge is off (or fails).
• You hit your monthly spending limit.

We email you before reviews pause and again when they stop. Top up your balance or raise your limit and reviews resume on the next pull request event.

Invoices and receipts

Prelint uses Stripe for all billing. From Settings → Billing:

• View and download past invoices for every credit purchase.
• Update your payment method.
• Change your billing email address.
• Access the Stripe customer portal for detailed billing management.
