Frequently asked questions
What counts as a committer?
Anyone who authored a commit to a repository your organization has enabled in Prelint — not just PR authors. Unique committers are counted across all enabled repositories.
How does billing work?
You're billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date. The price is based on the number of unique committers across all enabled repositories during that billing period.
When do you start counting committers?
Committers are counted from the date you enable a repository in Prelint — not retroactively. Only commits made after you enable a repo count toward your bill.
What if I disable a repository mid-cycle?
Committers from a repository that was enabled at any point during the billing period still count for that period. Disabling a repo stops new committers from accruing in subsequent periods.
Are CI bots counted?
No. Common CI bots like Dependabot, Renovate, github-actions, and snyk-bot are automatically excluded. However, AI coding tools (e.g. commits from Claude or Cursor) are counted as committers.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new organization gets a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your subscription from Settings and you retain access until the end of the current billing period. No long-term contracts.
